Silver Linings to the Knee Injury, Part 1

On Monday, I wrote about my pesky knee injury.  As a rainbows-and-bunnies, favorite-color-is-pink kind of girl, you can bet that I have thought of some silver linings to this knee injury.  I can take most situations and Pollyanna the crap out of them.

With that in mind, here's my first silver lining.  It's a doosy.  (Doozy? Doozie? Deuxie?)

More time to write!

Bump, Set, Spy has been in revision mode for the better part of the last year as I polished it up for my thesis at Stonecoast.  Instead of getting to the end, I kept revising the first 35k or so. The next 15k is super rough.  After a fab 4th semester working with Liz Hand, and a successful graduating residency, I'm ready to push through to the end.  Finish the gosh darn book, once and for all!

I have about a month between the end of Stonecoast and when I have to be back to work.  Without the knee injury, the siren song of volleyball would've taken me outside all summer, away from the WIP.  Maybe this injury happened at just the right time.  (Or the "write" time. Chortle guffaw snicker.)

Stay tuned for more silver linings.  How about you--are you a silver lining kind of person?  Or more of a "hello darkness my old friend" kind of person?  Please share!
